Cronopios

Today Spring wriggled in like a lizard.  I can feel it following me, biting as it goes, and it seems to be stuck between my spleen and my throat. Its tail has been split in two, and this is what is tickling me all the time, stopping me from breathing. When I tried to spit it out, one of my wings came off and my back is bleeding. It’s not that I can’t fly anymore, but that my enthusiasm has all dried up..."
