Portraits and lighting
In this workshop, we will examine the history and development of portraits from their origins, as a fundamental part of photographic practice, and considering its influence on the working methods of the contemporary photographer. Portraits for publication, how to construct a personal language and the relationship with the subject are the main focuses of this workshop, which will also cover important technical issues such as the different possible types of lighting and postproduction with specific programs (Photoshop and Lightroom). Also included are practical sessions with a professional model.
14 hours with times and days to choose from. Also available at weekends.
The private workshop also includes an extra 4 hours of practical sessions.

Nude photography
An analysis of nude imagery as a form of artistic expression leads to particular lighting arrangements which define the identity of the artist. In this workshop, we practise with light sources placed in different locations, as they are often used in nudes for publishing and creative purposes. The arrangement of lighting and the shooting of demonstrative images will be undertaken with a professional model.
